Women’s Missionary Union

Baptist Women Meets on the first Tuesday morning of each month.

In July 1906, Mrs. F.B. Ashcraft organized a Women’s Missionary Society at Mill Creek.  It started with 6 members.  In the one hundred years since the founding of our WMU, may great things have been accomplished by dedicated WMU members.  Our ladies are very “mission minded.”  Each month there is a project, along with ongoing projects such as donating quarterly to the NC Baptist Children’s Homes, cooking and serving Wednesday night suppers with donations going to the building fund.  The WMU helps with a church wide projects such as:
» Loaves and Fishes (different food each month)
» Lottie Moon Offering for Foreign Missions
» Samaritan’s Purse- Operation Shoe Box at Christmas
» Heifer International Project
» Annie Armstrong for North America Missions
» Offering for North Carolina Retirement Homes
» Food Roundup for Baptist Children’s Homes
» Monthly suppers at the Community Shelter in Monroe

The Mill  Creek WMU has contributed to our church, community and world in may wonderful ways.
