“CALLED” Missions Extravaganza:
Listen up ALL WOMEN-ALL AGES of Mill Creek
Baptist Church! It is time to sign up for
the April 16-18th, 2010 WMU Mission
Extravaganza, “CALLED”. You do not have to
be a member of WMU to experience this
spiritually uplifting weekend at Ridgecrest
Conference Center, Ridgecrest, NC. Just
think about being in the mountains from
Friday 1 pm through the Sunday 10:45 am
final worship service, with delicious food
prepared for you, and nothing to do except
visit with missionaries and learn of their
work and prayer needs, outstanding worship
services, music, conferences, fellowship
with new and old friends, and have fun.
A sign up sheet is on the bulletin board
outside the church office. Deposit of $38.00
is due when you sign up, with the balance
due April 1, 2010. If you need further
information, ask Faye Hinson, Linda Bridges,
Mildred Baucom, Lynda Williams, or any of
the other women who have experienced this
spiritual retreat in past years.

you, whatever you did for one of the least
of these my brothers, you did for me.”

The Mission Committee served supper at the Homeless
Shelter in Monroe on Tuesday, February 9th. The menu
included hot beef stew, cabbage, hot biscuits and
peach cobbler. This mission project is such a joy!
The Mission Committee will sponsor the Heifer
International Project beginning Sunday, February
28th. The ark-shaped banks will be handed out on
that day and will be collected during a special time
in
worship service on Palm Sunday, which is March 28th.
We hope you will join us in participating in this
worthy project that supplies livestock to needy
families around the world. This allows the families
to
become self-sufficient and improves their lives.
Our church collected $3206 for the Haiti relief
project! This money will be sent to the NC Baptist
Men who are doing work in Haiti. There has been much
concern about contributions to Haiti being properly
handled by charities, but with the Baptist Men you
can rest assured your gift is going for what it was
intended.
Thank you for your generous gifts to all the mission
projects of the church
